You're probably looking at the title and thinking, hasn't she already done a Halloween haul?
The answer is yes, yes i have. However i didn't get paid until after the joyous occasion and so my orders of limited edition nail sets (both this year and previous years) didn't come in until well after the Halloween season.
This might seem really late to be posting but i didn't think there was much point in posting a haul with one or two lots of nail polishes, so i waited until my entire list had arrived.
Most of these items i did purchase off of ebay, generally because the brands are American or English and stockist will not ship to Australia, so i will link you to the makers website instead. I'll just mention that i do not yet own a nail wheel either white or clear so all swatches are currently just my nail swatches. My nail wheels should be arriving soon. *fingers crossed*
The main limited edition beauty item that goes around for Halloween is nail polish, and i love it. :3
The first brand i purchased from, and although they are an older brand and these nail polishes have been around for a while these are the first polishes i own of them. The brand is the Wet N Wild 'Fantasy Makers' tomb stone nail polishes. The moment i saw these, i don't know exactly how long ago it was, but i knew i had to have them. I'm a sucker for any packaging that is freaky, cute or unusual in any sense and these have it all. To some people the packaging might look cheap or tacky but i just love them to death. I managed to pick up four of them, three from one seller and one from another.
One of the sellers did have the glow-in-the-dark one however i had already purchased both the china glaze ghoulish glow and multiple OPI glow-in-the-dark colors in their respective limited edition sets and so i didn't see the point, cute bottle or not.
The colours i got were:
From Pure Joy For A Beautiful You
From Flowerfish-Fantasy
-Black Magic; A black polish with varying red and orange glitters.
-Black; The traditional black nail polish.
-Vampish Red; A purple, cool toned red colour bording on maroon.
I couldn't find the bright orange, 'Creepy Pumpkin' in the collection which is really sad because it's a beautiful color so if anyone finds a place that ships to Australia that sells that bright orange one please leave a comment below.
Each of these were somewhere in between $2.00 to $4.00.
The very nice ebayer Flowerfish-Fantasy sent me free Fantasy Makers Face and Body Tattoos and an emry board and enclosed everything is a cute black bag with ghost print. :3
The collection is of four mini OPI's and for those of you who like me had never seen the minis before i've got a comparison photo to see the size difference.
The colors in this set are:
-Unrippened - A black base with duo chrome blue and teal glitter.
-Nevermore - A glitterly blurple color.
-Sanguine - A nice vampy red, more tinging towards the maroon colouring, in the sun red glitter is visible.
and my personal favourite
-Obscurity - Matte black, apparently there are a lot of these going around based on the reviews i've been reading but this is the first time i've seen/heard of a matte black nail polish and i'm pumped it is gorgeous. (if you know any full-sized Matte black nail polishes please
comment) The colours you see in the bottles are
exactly what you get on the nail as you can see in the Sanguine i am wearing that color on my nail, if it looks worn it's because i'd been doing gardening.
This set i picked up for $17.00. Application is tricky with the small applicator brush however two coats should be enough for any of these colors, they all apply evenly and even on my nails last at least a week of general wear before they chip.
My nails are suckers for chipping, even with a base coat and a top coat instead of chipping they'll just peel off. (again any suggestions please feel free to comment)
Another set i picked up, yes again from Ebay, seller: Middle Earths Treasures is the 2011 China Glaze 'The Haunting' four piece collection, bare in mind that there are two of these, each featuring three of the same colors with one including a top coat and one including the color Iron Cross. I purchased the second called the 'crackle collection' featuring four straight colors as i already own the top coat.
The colors are:
-Iron Cross(#632) - Coppery Orange Color with lighter orange shimmer.
-It's Alive (#985) - Olive base with limey green and yellow glitter, this color really catches the light.
-Black Mesh Crackle Glaze (#980) - Black crackle polish.
-Ghoulish Glow (#1024) - Glow in the dark polish.
(No swatches or photos are avaliable at this time because this has been sent to another address and i need to pick it up.)
I've also obtained the China Glaze Voodoo collection and 2010 limited edition Awakening and the OPI Spookette minis and Tattoo Ta-boo minis, which are yet to arrive in the mail, however by the time they do arrive it will probably be time for my Christmas Haul; so i will post a separate haul for them when they all arrive but being Halloween collections i figured i'd talk about them here.
Each of these also contain four colors, the Voodoo collection comes with free eyelashes, the OPI Spookette minis come with free halloween nail decals and the Tattoo Ta-boo comes with free temporary tattoos.
So i hope you enjoyed hearing about my Halloween nail polish haul, stay tuned for the other posts as the nail polishes continue to arrive.
Until next time,
Ashiie Imperfect ♥
