Lime Crime: ChinaDoll Palette

Hey Ghouls;
Recently I purchased the ChinaDoll Palette by Lime Crime. The first of their Fantasy Palettes and their first attempt at a pressed eyeshadows.
The ChinaDolla Palette comes in a purple tin with the gold bevelled unicorn logo and a pattern that is somewhat reminiscent of a lotus flower.

As well as doing a first impressions of the ChinaDoll Palette, I would like to do a comparison between the ChinaDoll colors and the Sugar Pill pressed eyeshadows.

The ChinaDoll palette has five colors;
Fly, Dragon Fly - A Red
Parasol - A Baby Blue (The standout original for me personally in this collection)
Goldfish - A Mettalic Yellow
Jade-o-Lade - A Deep Jade Green.
Lotus Noir - The Black in the collection

Goldfish is a little chalky, however i slightly expected this with the mettalic finish to it. The others are very smooth to apply and have no fallout. All the colors are extremely pigmented which you will see in my swatches.
All the colors can be built up to a beautiful opaque pigment or blended out. Both ways look amazing.
The Swatches are all on my eye lids, dry brush applied with no base or primer.
The Lime Crime Colors are labelled.

There is enough difference between the colors to warrant purchasing both palettes if you are really into makeup.
I really adore Parasol and Jade-O-Lade however i also don't have any brand of pressed shadow in these colors.

Thanks for cheacking this out. Hope it was helpful to you.

Manic Panic Make-Up Staples

Hey Ghouls;
Alright so I've been using Manic Panic cosmetics and hair dyes for ages now, about seven to eight years and i absolutely adore their products. I figured i probably should do a review of a few of the products i often use for those of you who are curious about the company.

Before beginning i want everyone aware that this is MY opinion and as such you're experiences may differ. I have very pale skin that is moisturized daily and is rather smooth, if you have other skin types the results may differ.

I'm going to begin with the Vampyre's Veil Pressed Powders range.
As always i start with the packaging, so every compact comes in a kitschy little coloured bag, depending on the tone you've bought, the compact itself is very elegant. Black with the white print, 'Vampyre's Veil' and small jewels on the image of the bats. I've been told, so the information may not be correct that the jewels are different colours depending on the tone you purchase.

The compact has two compartments, similar to products of this type, the first housing the pressed powder and mirror and second housing the powder pad.

Anyway enough about the packaging let's discuss the product. I find manic panic to be very smooth and silky to apply, once applied i can barely tell I'm wearing it, it definitely doesn't have a caked on feel or appearance. However you may end up with little powder particles if you try to apply too much or don't blend it in. The pad is great for ease of applying and the color is great for blending in with natural rosy pink cheeks and so on.
The only downside would be that Manic Panic (being a self-proclaimed Gothic brand) does not supply darker skin tones in the pressed powders. These powders are 'two way' powders so they can also be applied wet.
If you have paler skin than most (i'm literally near white) then you should definitely check out Manic Panic. Here in Australia you can purchase the powder from Ebay (I use Fatal Impact from America) for around fifteen dollars, and this compact usually lasts me a year but then again i don't use make up everyday.
There are four colours in the Vampyre's Veil:
Virgin (White foundation)
Moonlight (My foundation)
Starlight
Candlelight
There is also another product developed by a separate sector of Manic Panic, The Manic Panic Collection simply entitled 'pressed powders' which are apart of the Creature of the night collection.

I have purchased the shade Anemic in these pressed powders; which i've enquired about and it matches the shade 'moonlight' from the Vampyres Veil collection. I am waiting on the product to arrive and when it does i will complete a review on that product as well. However for those of you who are interested the pressed powders in the Creature of the night collection come in the following shades.
Spectral (white)
Anemic (Moonlight equivalent)
French Vanilla Twist (Starlight equivalent)
Mystique (Candlelight equivalent)
Hotta Chocolata (Darker shade that previously avaliable)
These can also be applied both wet or dry.

The other foundation staple that i get Manic Panic is the  Dreamtone liquid foundation for those days when i need to have extremely flawless skin. The dreamtone liquid foundations come in the same four shades as the Vampyre's Veil so it is easy to match with your powder.
Again i get the Moonlight shade.
The packaging on these products is a bit of a let down. They come in a black box with a sticker on the front with the Tish & Snooky's Manic Panic logo and a window so you can see the product. The bottle is plain glass with a black lid with the same sticker logo and a clear sticker on the front mentioning the color foundation you've purchased.
The applicator is a spatula stick which allows for easy application. I generally spatula a little of the foundation onto my hand or a palette and then use a stippling brush to apply.

These are my Manic Panic Staples, my must haves if you will. I've got another post coming along with a collective haul of mini purchases i felt weren't big enough to put into blog posts on their own.

Until next time remember,
It's your imperfections that make you unforgettable.

Welcoming The New Year: A LARGE Christmas Haul Body and Bath Portion

Hey Ghouls;
Welcomg to the Body and Bath portion of my Large Christmas Haul.
The first part of this haul is my gift from amazing Boyfriend and it is from the website 'Fortune Cookie Soap' which i found through one of my youtube gurus Sparkagexx. I never intended to find anything i liked on the website but when i saw the new scent they had in called Unicorn farts i knew i had to have it. So for Christmas Brody bought me nearly ever item they had in the scent Unicorn Farts.
This included:
A Bar Soap
A Bubble Bar
A Shampoo Bar

A Conditioner Bar
A Body Wash
An OCD Hand Sanitizer
A Whipped Cream
A Sugar Scrub
A Fortune Cookie Soap in Unicorn Farts
A Fortune Cookie Soap in BOOgey Man
and A Fortune Cookie Soap in Toxic
In my parcel i also recieved a free watermelon fizz sample.

I feel like the best way to show off the images of these products is to put them in a slideshow
I apologise for the messy appearance of my Bubble Bar, i've already used it because i couldn't help myself.  So it's very broken up.

The Bubble bar worked a treat, you can find my review on the Fortune Cookie Soap website however i'll give you a quick run down on here. The smell of Unicorn farts is absolutely intoxicating, it's like pomegrante, grapefruit and sugar all rolled into one. It turned my bath water pinky purple which as you know i am not much of a pink fan but all this unicorn stuff makes me feel like a faerie princess or something. :3
After my bath i used my Whipped Cream, I used it on my entire body and used barely any of the tub at all, it will last me quite a while.
The Hand Sanitizer smells much nicer than i would've imagined, the antisceptic sanitary smell is still present however it is overpowered by the Unicorn Farts smell which as i've previously mentioned smells amazing.
I haven't tried many of the other products but i will tell you what the other two fortune cookie soap scents i got smell like.

Toxic smells like citrus, fruity and sweet.
BOOgey Man smells sometimes like chocolate and sometimes like fruit it's a weird combination but i really adore it.

With my left over Christmas money i also stopped off at LUSH Australia, they were having their Christmas Sale and all the Christmas scents were on special. I purchased only two items. Two bath bombs one a non-christmas scent is Dragon's Egg which smells like candy and there really is no other way to describe it. The Christmas scent i chose was the Sumo Santa which was on special for $2 and smelt like tangerine and maderine. I chose this scent because the other ones available were all spice scents and i prefer sweeter scents. I have not yet tried either of my bombs but images are in the slideshow above.
Thanks for reading i really hope you find something you like on the Fortune Cookie Soap website.
Until Next Time

Welcoming the New Year: A LARGE Christmas Haul: Nail Polish Section

Hey Ghouls;
Happy New Year and for those of you who did celebrate Christmas i hope it was a splendid one.
Sorry i was MIA for the last couple of weeks, Christmas holidays take a lot out of you but to make it up to you i have a massive Christmas Haul.
Most of the things i am going to show you were either bought for me as gifts, bought with Christmas money that i recieved from people or little things i just splurged on because it was the season. I will mention with each item how i recieved it and whether or not it was a gift.
I WAS NOT PAID FOR ANY OF THESE OPINIONS.
Because there are so many items in this haul i will posting one item to a blog so that you can simply skip to the blog post that you are the most interested in. If you are going to stick at it and read them all well thank you. :)

This blog post will be on the Nail Polish Portion of my Chirstmas Haul.

I'll begin with the nail polishes that I purchased firstly if you read my Halloween haul you'll know that i was waiting on the China Glaze awakening set to come in the mail, it did arrive finally and so did my replacement Cross Iron (from the Haunting set) If you are interested in seeing these colors and swatches visit the now revised 'Halloween Haul'.
The first nail polishes that i purchased were from the Ozsale China Glaze Sale. Each were 5.99 which is the same price that you can purchase them from SaleNail which is a site i frequent often. (This is not a sponsored link, i just figured you guys would like to know where to get them from).
Some of the colors that i wanted were already sold out by the time i reached the sale however i did pick up three.
-For those of you who are unaware Ozsale is a site much like the American Hautelook. It has daily-weekly sales on designer clothing, cosmetics sometimes toys and electronics.-
The three colors i picked up were:

Flying Dragon (Neon) - A mangenta purple with neon blue and pink glitter some bottles vary, my bottle has a lot of blue in it whereas the bottle my cousin picked up as more pink. (Matte)
Easy to apply, decent spread of glitter however you can move around the glitter as you see fit, as most Matte nail polishes you'll need to apply quickly as it dries fast and can end up streaky.

Outta Bounds - A Sea Green with shimmer that has a tealish side to it. (Shimmer)
Not yet worn, was easy to apply onto the nail wheel. Dried quickly

Drastic - (Retired) Deep Blood Red. (Gloss)
Easy to apply, not streaky. Lasts at least five days even on my nails.

Being Christmas time i really wanted a festive red color, too many of my red nail polishes look tacky and cheap. I wanted a more elegant color so I searched through some blogs and found Pin Prick by China Glaze. It was described as a red with gold shimmer and i purchased this on Ebay for $4.99. The gold shimmer is very present in the bottle however when painted onto a nail it behe only difference i can see by eye is that the China Glaze red color seems to 'hide' the gold shimmer whereas the gold shimmer in Scandal's 'Red Shimmer' is more dominant. Either way i do not regret purchasing Pin Prick.

The Final Color that i purchased myself is by an Australia Drugstore company called Blush Amour. I will be doing a full review series on Drugstore products for my Australian fans who are curious about them. The color is number 70, with no name which is disappointing i mean seriously don't we all just love saying the name of our nail colors. It is meant to be a top coat, as it is a clear jelly with lots of tiny gold glitter and bigger hexagonal glitter in gold, blue and red.

Onto the nail polishes that i was given as presents.
My mother gave me a nice collection of polishes only three actual colors in the haul the others are topcoats and so on.
I'll start with the three Designer Brands Nail Polishes she purchased. Designer Brands is another Australia drugstore brand that has recently become popular again.
I got a Base Coat which is number 840 and this i found defintely helps my nail polishes to stay on longer.
I also got numbers 214 'Snow White' which is a shimmery white color and number 532 'Watermelon Gold' which is a shimmery pink color with gold shimmer i found this was very similiar to China Glaze's 'Awakening' except with more of a pink tone than purple. These nail polishes however take at least three coats to become opaque, which seems like a fair amount but for the price is reasonable. I believe my mother said she got the 3 of them for six dollars on sale.
The color i love the most at the moment is the Simpli polish she bought me. Simpli is yet another Australian Brand i believe. There is no number or name on this polish so i will just have to describe it as the camera is not even picking up this polishes beauty. The polish is a smoky clear jelly with pearlescent glitter in it. It looks like a snowglobe.
I also got a double pack from Lacura which is the Aldi brand cosmetics, the two colors are numbered 800 and 801 there are no names on the nail polish bottles themselves but they were on the box they came in. 800 is a clear top coat and 801 is French Manicure pink. I also got the Sally Hansen's Advanced Hard as Nails. I've only been using this for a little while so i will let you know how it works out for me.
The final two polishes i got were in a cheap makeup pack that my Boyfriends mother purchased me. Just one of those multiple packs with no brand and no color names. But i thought i'd share them here because one of the colors is amazing. The first color is one of those cheap red polishes i told you about before, the second is this beautiful pastel purply pink color with silver rainbow glitter in it. However on the nail the polish appears much more pink. Both of these colors need at least five or so coats on their own or two to three over a white base.

Thank you for reading I do hope that these opinions and reviews were helpful, The Makeup and Body Beauty sections should be up soon.
