L'Oreal Paris Prize Review

Hey Ghouls;
So yesterday i told you all about my prize pack from the L'Oreal Primped 4D lash competition and i promised to do a make up review on the products as soon as i could.
Today i used all the products awarded to me for the first time, so here is my review and photos of my 'Primped 4D lash look'.
We'll start with the infallible eyeshadows in 014 Eternal Black and 015 Flashback Silver firstly i would like to correct myself by saying that these are more cream eyeshadows than powders, although there is loose glitter that does cause a little fallout.

So in my first glance review i mentioned that the infallible eyeshadows didn't really seem worth buying, in use i take this back, when i applied the two eyeshadows i noticed that a little goes a long way. If you want a simple shimmer you only need to apply once, for a thicker color twice to three times will satisfy.
The 015 Flashback silver is an intriguing color, although it looks silver on the eye and in the jar at times it also has a shimmer or lavender/pink and when applied thinly over the eyelid this color is amplified by the skin tone underneath. The 014 Eternal black could be classed as a true black if applied thick enough, however with thin coats it's more of a coal with silver glitter.
The superliner i found really cool, the rubber or foam tip on the applicator as i mentioned in my previous post was as soft as i suspected, it applied easy and i found myself dipping the applicator less often than most of the other liquid liners i used. This is a decent waterline liner, however you'll need to keep the waterline dry until the liner itself dries. The better waterline liner would be the duo stick retractable liner which like most was easy to use, however it did not break as easily as cheaper eyeliners.
The 4D lash mascara looked thick and claggy on the brush and it didn't surprise me that it was claggy on my eyelashes as well, this could just be my mascara brush which i cleaned and then reused and had the same result. Otherwise the lengthening portion of the mascara worked really well, i naturally have long eyelashes and even i was wide-eyed with the results of the 4D mascara. There was no curl in the results.

So with those reviews over and done with i'll show you some example photos:

God i hate my face with my eyes closed.

You can see here the silver that is spread over most of my eyes looks more purple than silver. and it is a great example of how claggy the mascara is.
I'm also wearing Vampire Diaries lipgloss.

L'Oreal Paris Prize Pack

Hey Ghouls;
Today my prize pack from the L'Oreal Paris 'Primped Lash 4D Architect Competition.' There were ten winners and the Competition was to re-create the look from the 4D lash mascara advertising.
So the above image is what we needed to re-create and the prize was everything you needed to create this look.

Now that you've heard a little about the competition. onto the actual Prize pack.
It arrived Via TNT delivery which i did find a little annoying as they tried to deliver it on Friday and i wasn't home and the nearest depot was about an hour away so i had to get it re-delivered today.

The pack was delivered in a standard plastic bubble wrap lined bag, inside was a simple white L'Oreal Paris bag. Inside was a personalized note, however i believe that the people at L'Oreal made a mistake by sending me another winner Emily's pack (slightly disappointing). JUST FOUND OUT THAT ONE OF MY AWESOME FRIENDS GOT A PACK WITH MY NAME ON THE LETTER! and on a completely separate note the generic note writer cannot spell Competition (See note below to the left.) The products that were used to create the original 4D look and the products i won in my prize pack include: The L'Oreal 16 hour infallible duo eyeliner, smudge stick in shimmering black. L'Oreal Super liner in Noir/black. L'Oreal color infallible powders, in 014 Eternal Black and 015 in Flashback Silver and the final touch the Lash Architect 4D in Noir/Black. (photos of the products will be featured below)
I haven't had a chance to use them just yet so i'll do a review of the products when i have tried them out. I will also put up some images of me wearing them as the 4D Lash advert is.

I can discuss the products at a first glance, firstly the Super Liner applicator instead of being a brush is some type of rubber, foam material. The tip is rather thick but soft, the tester line i drew on my wrist was a thicker line of eyeliner than I'm used to on a first application however i enjoy thicker eyeliner and the color was very close to true black. The brush on the 4D mascara is short bristled with a slight twist. At a glance i found the Color Infallible powders disappointing, they come in a nice decent sized container which when opened turns out to be filled by a black plastic pad that is pressing the powders into place. The powder in the container itself is only about half a centimeter thick. I can't complain since it was a prize in a competition however although i don't know how much they're selling them for i don't think i'd personally buy them.

As i said previously i will do a review of the products in another post with photos of my makeup.
Thanks for reading :) xx
Lots of love
